When you look at our national debt, the unfunded debt, the current budget bill and the morons in D.C. telling us we have to spend our way out of this...it does look bleak. In general I think you are right to be worried. I believe hard times are coming. How hard is the question? My personal feeling is that what is in front of us will make The Great Depression look like a cartoon. I don't want to feel that way, but I can't wrap my mind around where we are right now. For example, you all remember the movie "Red Dawn" right? The Cuban Missile Crisis, the Berlin Wall, the Iron Curtain etc? How did we get to a point where we had a self avowed Communist in the White House? How is it ok that some A-Hole put a Chairman Mao ornament on a White Christmas Tree? I already mentioned the debt and spending, but now we get to take orders from China? The Chi-coms? The same guys that put the smack down on their own people and censor the internet? Super. Finally, what is going to happen when Isreal attacks Iran's nuclear facilities? What will the price of oil shoot to? I'm not sure about a total collapse, but I could see many people living like the 1800s. I knew I should have dated an Amish girl. It’s hard to predict what will happen.
